SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) -- Bulgaria's interior minister says he is convinced that the Shiite militant group Hezbollah was behind a July 2012 bus bombing that killed five Israelis and their Bulgarian bus driver.

Asked by reporters on Monday whether Hezbollah was responsible for the bombing, Tsvetlin Yovchev said that "all traces lead there."

"What we can prove in court is another matter," he said, and added: "If you're asking me if I am certain of this - yes, I am."

The daily Presa quoted anonymous sources on Monday who claimed that the man who had detonated the explosives outside the Burgas airport was of Algerian origin and had trained in terrorist camps in southern Lebanon.

Prosecutor General Sotir Tstatsarov confirmed there was new information about the bomber, but declined to comment on the report.
